A Journey Unrealized
So yeah.
I really need to…
Ha! That did not look like breadsticks!

Pardon me while I hate myself for a moment.

Choctaw High School has one of the best baseball stadiums in the state, for which they can barely field a team, because baseball season is during stickball season.

VIRGINITY IS A SOCIAL CONSTRUCT

antithestasia:

Virginity:

  • is sexist
  • is heteronormative
  • commodifies sex
  • commodifies young cis-het white women
  • contributes to rape culture
  • contributes to slut-shaming
  • erases queer folk
  • erases transfolk
  • frames a woman’s worth as inversely proportional to the number of dicks that have been inside her

and much, much more!

fuck that noise.

Relevant.

Wait, I’m confused.  I thought virginity was just the state of not having had sex?

Virginity is a construct of “purity” and usually only applies to women and then only to PIV sex. Basically the whole purpose is to tell a woman her sexuality belongs to her husband, and she is “impure” if she doesn’t follow that particular rule.

There is probably only one social justice issue that really gets me up in arms.

Classism. It’s the one thing that will make me go on rants, especially in regards to public education (even college level) and welfare.

I just like to nuzzle it.
